Artitec and the Ronald McDonald Children's Fund

What is the Ronald McDonald Children's Fund?
The Ronald McDonald Children's Fund is a Dutch foundation dedicated to supporting sick and disabled children and their families. The foundation has Ronald McDonald Houses close to hospitals. In these houses, parents and families of sick children can live temporarily. In addition, the foundation has living rooms in the hospitals themselves where parents, families and sick children can get away from the hospital atmosphere for a while.
The Club of 52
The Club of 52 is an initiative of Ronald McDonald House Emma, which makes it possible for companies to contribute to this wonderful fund. A company can sign up to contribute one or more weeks during the year to the existence of the house.
Artitec and Ronald McDonald Emma House
Artitec is grateful to join the club of 52 for the second year in a row. It is an honor to be part of this beautiful and special initiative. This year again we are supporting the Ronald McDonald House Emma in Amsterdam. We do this for 2 weeks every year.
During such a sponsor week it is possible to connect with the House in different ways. Think of cooking or providing breakfast for guests in the House. In addition to the financial support, we also roll up our sleeves as a team.
Our team leaders recently had a tour in the temporary House. It is incredibly special to see how 140 volunteers work hard to ensure that parents have a safe and pleasant place to sleep close to their seriously ill children.
In addition to the 30 bedrooms that the House Emma has, they also provide three relaxation rooms in the UMC Amsterdam itself. Here parents can retreat from the hospital environment in a homely environment, and unwind for a while. Here too, volunteers work hard to keep the rooms tidy and offer a listening ear where needed.
Renovation Emma House
Emma House is currently undergoing major renovations. That is why an emergency location is used to offer parents, brothers and sisters a nice place to stay. The doors to the new Emma House will open at the end of September.
After the opening we will look at how we can support House Emma even better. Currently, we are sponsoring all the door handles that will go into the new House. We hope to contribute even more towards the future.
