Permafix provides the sturdiness your project needs

The toughness of Permafix door hardware can be traced through the proper testing process it has undergone. The handles have undergone a lengthy test, meeting the set standards after only 200,000 strokes. In addition, it passed a pull and turn test in which it was classified in the highest class.

The NEN EN 1906 is the European and national standard for door hardware. This standard was adopted in 2001, then revised several times, and in 2012 the current rules were established. The standard is divided into 4 grades.

Grade 1 contains fittings that must be handled with care and are primarily used indoors. From there it builds up to sturdier hardware used for a variety of purposes. The Permafix door hardware meets Grade 4 and thus complies with the highest standard of the NEN EN 1906.

This standard means that the hardware can withstand 1000N tensile and 1000N twist loads. It can also withstand 96 hours of salt spray and its fire resistance is type B. This means that the handle can withstand a fire for more than half an hour.

These tests show that Permafix is a reliable product that is prepared for many situations.

How Permafix is made

Permafix hardware is carefully made from recycled materials. Careful consideration is given to which material can provide the reliability desired. Then a stylish finish that graces any room is considered. The material chosen is AISI 304 stainless steel with a matte brushed finish. This gives Permafix's products both a beautiful look, and the desired quality.

The construction with permanently mounted handles on a steel substructure emphasizes the attention paid to the handles. The clip-on plates allow you to assemble the handles without leaving a trace of assembly.

The Permafix door handle is available with a short plate of 45x170mm (WxH) or a long plate of 40x220mm (WxH)

Perfect for commercial buildings and projects

In buildings where there is typically a lot of traffic and use of door closers, it is wise to fit doors with strong door hardware. Buildings such as hospitals and schools have many people on the floor every day, and it is important that the door hardware can handle this.

The many hands and forces placed on the hardware can have a negative impact on lower quality door hardware. With Permafix, which is Grade 4 tested, you are assured of door hardware that will last a very long time and remain beautiful. Permafix door hardware ensures that you won't experience any problems afterwards.

In places where aggression can occur, such as stadiums or healthcare-sector, door hardware that can withstand extreme forces is essential. Poor quality door hardware can become loose, posing a danger to the people present in the building.

The quality that Permafix offers is an essential component to renew or complete your project. Ensure safety and security with the quality of Permafix.

In conclusion

A door handle for a residential home requires very different specifications as a door handle used for large buildings (commercial construction). For example, the load is very different and it must be able to withstand considerable forces. Indoors, you can reasonably predict what these forces are and therefore what kind of quality you need.

For larger projects in commercial construction, sturdy door hardware is an indispensable element. With Artitec's Permafix door fittings you can assure your project of solidity.
